Presidential Election, 9 September 2001, Belarus
- ODIHR established a limited election observation mission in Minsk on 17 August and shortly thereafter started monitoring the electoral process with 27 experts and long-term observers deployed in the capital and seven regional centers.

- Following an invitation from the Albanian Government, ODIHR deployed an election observation mission on 22 May to monitor the 24 June parliamentary elections.

- Following an invitation from the Bulgarian authorities, ODIHR deployed an election observation mission on 19 May for the 17 June parliamentary elections.

Parliamentary Elections, 27 May 2001, Cyprus
- After the Republic of Cyprus informed OSCE/ODIHR that parliamentary elections will be held on 27 May, ODIHR undertook a Technical Mission to the Republic between 13-16 March. The Technical Mission did not recommend the deployment an election observation mission for these elections.
