Fraud Alert: Beware of Scams Implying Association with the OSCE
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has become aware of fraudulent activities targeting individuals through various means, including email and websites, falsely claiming association with the OSCE and its staff members. These scams aim to deceive recipients into providing personal information or transferring money, posing significant risks such as financial loss and identity theft.
The OSCE hereby notifies the public about these fraudulent schemes and emphasizes the following points:
Recruitment Process: The OSCE does not charge any fee at any stage of its recruitment process, including application, interview, processing, or training. To apply for a job go to vacancies.osce.org and click on Vacancies.
Procurement Process: The OSCE does not charge any fee during its procurement process, such as supplier registration or tender submission. For the latest business opportunities with the OSCE, visit the Procurement and click on Tenders.
Request for Information: The OSCE does not request any information related to bank accounts or other private details from individuals.
Scholarship Process: The OSCE does not charge any fees for participation in its scholarship programs. Any request for payment in exchange for participation in such programs is fraudulent and should be treated with extreme caution.
The OSCE advises individuals who receive solicitations resembling those described above to exercise extreme caution. Victims of such scams should report them to their local law enforcement authorities for appropriate action.
