Parliamentary Elections, 5 and 19 December 1999, Uzbekistan
- Following an invitation from the Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry to observe the 5 December 1999 parliamentary and 9 January 2000 presidential elections, the OSCE/ODIHR conducted a Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) on 20-24 October. On the basis of the NAM report, the OSCE/ODIHR deployed a Limited Election Assessment Mission.

Parliamentary Elections, 12 December 1999, Turkmenistan
- ODIHR sent a Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) to Turkmenistan between 8 and 11 November 1999, in connection with the parliamentary elections scheduled for 12 December. The NAM recommended that no observation mission, neither a full sized mission nor a limited assessment mission, be deployed to Turkmenistan for the elections.

Presidential Election, 31 October, 14 November and 5 December 1999, North Macedonia
- An OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission was established in Skopje on 20 September 1999 for the Presidential election scheduled for 31 October. A second round of voting was held on 14 November, and a rerun of the second round on 7 December.
