The OSCE Office in Baku developed this report based on the findings collected by the trial monitoring team over the period from July until December 2013. The team assessed and analysed the collected data based on the applicable national legislation and international standards. The monitoring activities were carried out in line with the trial monitoring methodology developed by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

The Office produced the booklet “Children and the Internet” within its project on Support to Building Capacity in Countering Cyber-Crime-2013. The booklet aims to raise the awareness of parents on internet threats and the necessary control measures in consultation with key stakeholders. Development of this booklet was the Office’s humble contribution to host country’s efforts to expand safe internet practices and to strengthen parental control. The Office disseminated these booklets through internet providers and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. The poster is only available in Azerbaijani.

This factsheet provides information on ODIHR’s interactive tool on freedom of association for government authorities and civil society.

The guidebook “The public in the criminal procedure”, prepared by the OSCE Mission to Skopje and the Public Prosecutors Association, provides journalists with useful tips on how to effectively report on court proceedings. The publication gives an overview of all phases of the new criminal procedure, including the competences of all actors in the process,, exceptions to the right of the public to be present at trial hearing, the role of journalists in objective and accurate reporting of trials, and their accountability.

Compilation of consolidated summaries from the 21st Economic and Environmental Forum

A three-month long campaign titled “Your Language is Your Right” is aimed at raising public awareness of available language protection and complaints mechanisms, as well as of the Language Commissioner`s role. Posters, leaflets and radio spots produced during the campaign in the Albanian, Romani, Serbian and Turkish languages have been distributed and aired across Kosovo. A poster in English is not available.

This handbook is meant to be used as a tool to take concrete steps towards building and maintaining well-functioning councils by incoming or newer local youth action council (LYAC) members. It has been drafted with significant input from LYACs themselves on issues such as municipal youth action plans, youth strategies, and volunteerism.
