Round-the-clock situation monitoring

Effective early warning entails staying abreast of events and situations at all times. To ensure this, the Conflict Prevention Centre maintains a situation/communications room that is staffed around-the-clock – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The situation room is the primary link between the field and OSCE senior management during ‘silent hours.’ It prepares regular briefings and assists the field operations during emergency situations, for instance crisis response and medical evacuations.
