OSCE Centre organizes Uzbek delegation visit to Skopje and Rome to study anti-trafficking experience

TASHKENT, 4 March 2005 - Members of the Uzbek inter-agency working group on anti-trafficking in human beings and representatives of the country's civil society, working in the field, will take part in a study trip to Skopje and Rome from 5 to 14 March.
During the trip, organized by the OSCE Centre in Tashkent, the Uzbek delegation will have meetings with counterparts from governmental and non-governmental institutions, as well as representatives of international organizations. These contacts will help develop better co-operation, joint anti-trafficking activities and share experience in the prevention and prosecution of human trafficking.
The recently established inter-agency working group consists of officers of the Ministry of Interior, the General Prosecutor's Office and the National Security Service of Uzbekistan.
