VIENNA, 25 November 2004 - OSCE Secretary General Jan Kubis will visit Ukraine on Friday and Saturday to explore ways in which the 55-nation security body can contribute to a resolution of the political standoff following the presidential election.
At the request of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, the Secretary General will hold consultations with state officials, senior representatives of political parties and representatives of the international community in Ukraine.
The Chairman-in-Office on Wednesday expressed concern over the present situation in Ukraine.
