OSCE/ODIHR holds meeting to foster dialogue on elections and political participation
DUSHANBE, 6 December 2010 - Officials from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will discuss the findings and conclusions included in the Office's final report on Tajikistan's 2010 parliamentary elections with representatives of the authorities in Dushanbe this week.
The discussions are part of a two-day event, starting on Wednesday, on improving Tajikistan's electoral framework and promoting political participation.
Special sessions will address candidate and political party registration, electoral administration, regulation of political parties and expanding women's and youth participation in political life.

Journalists are invited to attend all sessions on 8 and 9 December and to participate in the discussions. Registration begins on 8 December 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in the Hyatt Regency in Dushanbe.
