Tajik border officers complete OSCE-organized management skills training
Twenty-five officers from Tajik border agencies completed an OSCE essential management skills training on 27 November 2013 in Dushanbe. The event is part of a series of training courses aimed at enhancing the effective management capacity of Tajik border troops and Customs Training Institute.
During the two-day training, conducted at Tajik Customs Training Institute, 15 officers from Tajik border force, five officers from the Tajik customs service and five officers from the Interior Ministry learned about the latest approaches to management, , organizational culture and behaviour. The training also covered the subjects of leadership and staff empowerment.
During the graduation ceremony, Ambassador Markus Mueller, the Head of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan said: “The Office in Tajikistan is helping improve the professionalism and skills of Tajik border and security agencies by developing their management and leadership capacity, to help successfully implement the Tajik National Border Management Strategy that will lead to better national and regional stability.”
