New website for OSCE Mission in Kosovo
VIENNA, 19 July 1999 - The OSCE launched a new internet website today, that includes up-to-date information on the OSCE Mission in Kosovo. The Mission is a component of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), and has responsibility for specific areas including police training, democratization and governance, media, organization and supervision of elections, and human rights and rule of law.
In addition to providing updates on the OSCE Mission in Kosovo as it deploys in the area, the web site also includes job descriptions for positions within the Mission. All internationally recruited positions are subject to secondment, which means those interested must apply to their government and not directly to the OSCE. Up to 700 seconded staff are expected to join the Mission over the next year.
