OSCE Mission to Skopje donates training equipment to Interior Ministry

The OSCE Mission to Skopje donated training equipment worth some 60,000 euros to the Interior Ministry in Skopje on 13 October 2011.

The aim of the donation is to support the Ministry in strengthening its police training capacities and institutional structure. The equipment will be installed in the Police Training Centre in Idrizovo, as well as premises of police units across the country and in the border police centres.

The donation ceremony was opened by the Head of the OSCE Mission's Police Development Department Paulo Costa, the Director of the Bureau for Public Security Lubcho Todorovski and the Director of the Police Training Center - Idrizovo, Goce Bacanov.

The donation is part of the Mission’s continuous support to the Ministry in its efforts to develop human resources capacities, establish a sustainable and decentralized in-service training system thereby raising the professionalism of its staff and promoting the values of democratic policing.
