OSCE Mission to Skopje donates training equipment to Interior Ministry

SKOPJE, 28 September 2010 - The OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje donated some 100,000 euros in training equipment to the Interior Ministry in Skopje today.
The aim of the donation is to support the Ministry in strengthening police training capacities and institutional structure.
"The OSCE Mission is committed to supporting the Ministry in its efforts to develop human resources, establish continuous in-service training at a decentralized level and thus raise the professionalism of police officers and promote the values of democratic policing," said Paulo Costa, the Head of Police Development Department at the OSCE Mission.
Ljupco Todorovski, the director of the Bureau for Public Security, said: "Today's event is a great example of the continued and fruitful co-operation between the OSCE and the Interior Ministry. This donation is an important contribution to building up the institutional and human capacity of the police to deliver high-quality services to all communities."
