In an effort to help the recently established National Minority Councils with their awareness-raising activities, the OSCE Mission organized a series of training programs dedicated to improvement of communication skills between council members and the media. The second training program in this series was held in Novi Sad from 18 to 19 November 2011, gathering representatives of Slovak, Ruthenian and Romanian national minorities, mostly concentrated in the northern province of Vojvodina. National Minority Councils aim to foster better dialogue between national minorities and government institutions in the areas of culture, education, media and the use of national minority languages.
