OSCE Mission welcomes the establishment of new Serbian Government
BELGRADE, 8 July 2008 - The Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Anthony Pahigian, welcomed today the formation of a new government in Serbia.
"The OSCE Mission looks forward continuing its co-operation with the Government on its stated priorities, including anti-corruption, rule of law, human rights and police, media and other reforms," he said.
The Mission assists Serbia in strengthening independent, accountable and effective democratic institutions, particularly in the fields of rule of law, human rights and media, law enforcement, economy and environment. The Mission also supports civil society development and fosters regional co-operation and reconciliation, contributing to a sustainable and stable society for all citizens of Serbia.
