OSCE Mission, Political Science Faculty present students' best radio and television reports

BELGRADE, 30 May 2007 - The best radio and television reports produced by journalism students at Serbia's Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade were presented to the public yesterday.

Organized by the Faculty with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, the event gathered editors, journalists and owners of prominent Serbian media outlets. Ambassador Hans Ola Urstad, Head of the Mission, was on hand to congratulate the students.

Reinforcing co-operation between the Faculty and the media is part of the OSCE Mission's project on "Strengthening Political Reporting in Serbia", initiated in July 2006 and funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade. These efforts include developing internship programmes for students at radio and television stations.

The project also offers professional training to journalism students at the Faculty of Political Science, editors, as well as young and mid-career journalists from Serbian broadcast and print media.
