OSCE Mission to co-host meeting of war crimes prosecutors from Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia in Belgrade

BELGRADE, 2 February 2007 - War crimes prosecutors from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia will discuss closer regional co-operation at a meeting in Belgrade on Monday, co-hosted by the OSCE Mission to Serbia and the Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office.
The meeting of Vladimir Vukcevic, Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor, Josip Cule, Deputy Croatian Chief State Prosecutor, and Marinko Jurcevic, Bosnia-Herzegovina Chief Prosecutor will take place on the second anniversary of the signing of the 2005 Serbian-Croatian Prosecutors' Co-operation Agreement.
Ambassador Hans Ola Urstad, the Head of the OSCE Mission, and Matthew Lavine, Special Assistant to U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Issues, will also take part in the event.
A documentary, "Justice in the Region", which was supported by the OSCE Mission, will premiere at the event. The film is based on video material taken during study visits by a group of Serbian journalists to the judicial bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, organized by the Mission in 2005 and 2006.
Representatives of local NGOs, the diplomatic corps, the media, as well as officials from the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia will participate in the event.
Media representatives are invited to attend a panel discussion at 10.00, on Monday, 5 February, at Sava Centre, Milentija Popovica 9, Belgrade.
