OSCE Security Days: Local Approaches to Global Challenges

The opening session from the conference OSCE Security Days, on Local approaches to global challenges. Taking place at the Hofburg, Vienna on 31 March 2017, the session featured a debate panel discussing the ways in which cities can play a role in global security policymaking. The panel featured Joan Clos, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Park Won-soon, Mayor of Seoul, Republic of Korea and Ahmed Aboutaleb, Mayor of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The panel was moderated by Sian MacLeod, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom to the OSCE.
