OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Slovakia’s Foreign and European Affairs Minister, Miroslav Lajčák, visits Tajikistan and OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe
During his visit to Tajikistan, Minister Lajčák met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Husainzoda and Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev. He thanked Tajikistan for its strong and constructive support of the activities of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe for already 25 years, as well as for hosting one of the OSCE flagship initiatives, the Border Management Staff College.
The OSCE Chairperson met with the OSCE staff from the Programme Office in Dushanbe, as well as with civil society and youth representatives. On 22 May 2019, Minister Lajčák and Ambassador Valeriu Chiveri, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, officially opened the photo exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the OSCE presence in Tajikistan.
