Tajik and Afghan border officers complete OSCE training-of-trainers course
Twenty-one officers of the Tajik Border Troops and Afghan Border Police successfully completed a three-week training-of-trainers course on 6 September 2017 organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe.
The participants learned about developing teaching curricula and methodologies, including public speaking and presentation skills. They were also introduced to the latest techniques in military topography and first-aid.
Vyacheslav Abramets, Border Management Adviser in the OSCE Office’s Politico-Military Department, congratulated the participants on the completion of the course and said: “Since its inception in 2008, the Patrol Programming and Leadership project has been offering specialized capacity building to the border guard services of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan, thus serving as a genuine platform for regional co-operation.”
The training was conducted by two national experts with extensive experience in border security and management.
