OSCE PA President Bruce George appalled by assassination of Serbian Prime Minister

COPENHAGEN, 13 March 2003 - Bruce George, the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, was appalled and outraged to learn of the assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic yesterday.
Mr. George resolutely condemned this cowardly act and expressed hope that those guilty will be brought to justice soon.
"Mr. Djindjic has played a courageous role in the transition process that his country has undergone", the PA President said. "This murder is an unacceptable setback in the process of democratization and the rule of law".
President George offers his most sincere condolences to the Mr. Djindjic's family and wishes the people of Serbia the strength to continue the reform process.
