Youth Survey: Assessment of Youth Centres, Youth Spaces and Opportunities for Young People. Report on Representative Sociological Research
A quantitative research study of youth, implemented with OSCE support on request from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, involved 2,000 respondents aged 16–35, representing all regions of Ukraine, excluding temporarily occupied territories. The study's main goal was to evaluate youth centres, spaces, and opportunities for youth development.
Key research directions:
- Assessment of youth opportunities and priorities: self-realization, creativity, education, and leisure.
- Value orientations: safety, independence, equal opportunities.
- Current issues: corruption, economic instability, social challenges.
- Availability and evaluation of youth centres: their accessibility and impact on young people.
- Experience and benefits of engaging with centres: development, socialization, safety.
- Barriers to participation: lack of time, information, and infrastructure.
- Demand for centre services: educational programs, support, and development activities.
- Migration intentions and civic engagement: motives for moving abroad, participation in volunteering.
This research highlights key needs and directions for enhancing youth infrastructure. Available in Ukrainian.
