OSCE/ODIHR observers to hold press conference in Bishkek on Tuesday
BISHKEK, 4 September 2017 – On the occasion of the formal opening of the election observation mission deployed by the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to observe the 15 October presidential election in the Kyrgyz Republic, the mission will hold a press conference in Bishkek on Tuesday.
Ambassador Alexandre Keltchewsky, the Head of the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission, will introduce the role of the mission and its upcoming activities.
For election day observation, the OSCE/ODIHR’s election observation mission will join efforts with delegations from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and the European Parliament.
The OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission and the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek operate separately and independently under their own mandates.
Journalists are invited to attend the press conference at 12:00, Tuesday, 5 September, in the Shayr Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 191 Usup Abdrahmanov St., Bishkek.
