Thomas Busch
Thomas Busch is the Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina since 7 July 2023.
He has over 20 years' experience in Diplomacy, International Relations and European Affairs with a particular focus on the Western Balkans.
Prior to joining the Mission, Thomas worked for the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative on international climate policy and governance. Before that, he held various international and domestic assignments. He worked as a Senior Facilitator for the EU facilitated Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. From 2012 until 2015, Thomas was the Head of the Political Office of the European Union Special Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prior assignments included working for the United Nations and the German Foreign Office.
Thomas holds a Master’s degree in political sciences from the Free Universität Berlin. He is married and has a daughter.
