OSCE Mission to Montenegro continues to provide support to Justice Ministry in strengthening rule of law and protection of human rights
The OSCE Mission to Montenegro continues to support the country’s Ministry of Justice in implementing key policies, bearing in mind the successful co-operation and results achieved in line with the host country’s needs, said the Head of the Mission, Ambassador Janina Hrebickova, during a meeting with Justice Minister Zoran Pazin.
Ambassador Hrebickova and Minister Pazin discussed the alignment of Montenegro’s national strategic priorities with OSCE commitments. The aim is to harmonise the OSCE’s activities for the next budget year and mid-term period with the prospect for more effective, added value goals and objectives.
“In order to be able to achieve sustainable results, the Mission will focus its activities on reform processes with a view to promoting and protecting human rights, and the further strengthening of transparency, accountability and the effectiveness of the public administration,” said Hrebickova.
Pazin commended the work of the Mission, its partnership and co-operation with country’s institutions. He also emphasized the importance of the Mission’s support to the Justice Ministry’s work in the area of judicial reform and the rule of law.
