OSCE-supported workshop on strengthening capacity of Council for NGO Development held in Podgorica
OSCE Mission to Montenegro, in co-operation with the Governmental Office for co-operation with NGOs, organised a two-day workshop for the newly established Council for NGO Development s on 25 and 26 September in Podgorica.
The Council is an advisory body comprised of 23 members, from both the governmental and the non-governmental sector, chaired by the Minister Without Portfolio. The mandate of the council, among other issues, is to monitor the implementation of the 2014-2016 Strategy for the development of NGOs, give comments and provide proposals for further improvements.
Two experts from Serbia and Croatia shared knowledge, best practices, ways forward and discussed the possible risks and challenges that the region has faced so far.
The Mission will remain engaged in the implementation of the Strategy and in the further strengthening of the Council.
