Summer School on Leadership

For one week in July/August, 50 girls - 25 from each bank of the Dniester/Nistru River - participated in the OSCE Summer School on Leadership, where they learned about the principles of leadership, business management and job hunting.

Their schedule was filled with workshops, lectures, seminars, and master classes given by high-profile women from different fields, but they also had time to relax and make new friends.

The summer school is an excellent confidence-building measure between communities from both banks of the Dniestr/Nistru River, which, due to the Transdniestrian conflict, do not have any contact. Girls from both banks and from different regions of Moldova spend time together and become good friends.

There are no barriers: some of the girls are native Russian speakers, while and others speak the state language, but they share rooms, working groups and mingle in their free time without language barriers. Here, it does not matter which side of the river you come from.
