Kosovo Elections Complaints Commission decision

PRISTINA, 12 October 2000 - At its session on 5 October 2000, the Election Complaints and Appeals sub-Commission (ECAC) dealt with one further complaint. The details of the decision are below.
ECAC Case Nos. ME 2000/035 - Political Pronouncements Mr. Skenderbe Hebibi, vice president of and candidate for the PDK Viti/Vitina, allegedly made statements that might incite supporters to the use of violence, in contradiction to the Code of Conduct. The ECAC decided that Mr. Hebibi must publicly declare that he would denounce violence in the campaign period, fully support and work for a non-violent, peaceful campaign and respect the outcome of the municipal elections. Mr. Hebibi signed the attached declaration in the presence of the ECAC Chief Commissioner and an ECAC Police Investigator.
