Registered NGOs in Kosovo invited to general meeting

PRISTINA, 24 February 2000 - The Interim NGO Council, with support from the Democratization department of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo will hold a general meeting for all non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Saturday 11 March. All NGOs who have registered with UNMIK prior to 29 February are invited to attend.
The assembly will vote on the acceptance of the draft constitution for the NGO Council, elect a new executive board and nominate individuals for a position on the Interim Administrative Council, IAC.
Copies of the draft constitution will be delivered to NGOs registered with UNMIK or can be picked up at the Humanitarian Community Information Centre and OSCE offices. Suggestions for amendments to the constitution must be delivered in writing to OSCE, addressed to "The Interim Executive Council, c/o Democratization department". Those individuals who would like to nominate or be considered for a posting with the executive board of the NGO council or the IAC must write to Hans Bochove at OSCE HQ, or call for further information on ext. 278, before 29 February.
