First official meeting of Kosovo Central Election Commission

PRISTINA, 17 April 2000 -- The body which will establish the procedures for elections in Kosovo, the Central Election Commission, meets for the first time officially on Tuesday, 18 April. Among the items which will be discussed will be electoral rules and the conduct of political parties.

At the end of the meeting, there will be a photo opportunity followed by a news conference at which the role and function of the Commission will be outlined by OSCE Head of Mission and Commission Chair, Daan Everts. He will be joined by the Central Election Commission Secretariat.
