OSCE Kosovo Mission Head hopes for economic and political development in 2007

PRISTINA, 5 January 2007 - The OSCE Head of Mission, Ambassador Werner Wnendt, conveyed today his best wishes to Kosovo's Orthodox Christians on the occasion of the upcoming Orthodox Christmas.

"Christmas and its holy spirit give me the hope that, in 2007, Kosovo will see more progress in economic and political development and a further strengthening of democratic institutions, rule of law and human rights protection," he said.

Ambassador Wnendt also underlined the Mission's desire to work with all community leaders during the coming year to face political and economic challenges.

"The OSCE Mission in Kosovo will continue its support for the institution building and enhancing democracy in Kosovo."
