OSCE helps Kosovo Youth Council develop strategy to participate in decision-making

From 11 to 13 April 2013, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo organized a workshop in Prevallë/Prevalac to help the Central Youth Action Council (CYAC) participate in policy- and decision-making in ministries and municipalities.

The workshop focused on the drafting of the CYAC’s 2013-2014 strategy and action plan.

“The newly drafted strategy will help the central and the local youth action councils to better represent interests of young people, engage in the decision-making and apply for financing of their initiatives by Kosovo institutions,” said Yll Buleshkaj, National Programme Officer with the OSCE Mission.

The strategy is to be adopted by the General Assembly of the CYAC; its implementation is to start in May 2013.

The project is a part of the OSCE Mission’s activities to support participation of women and youth in policy and decision-making processes.
