Recent Migration of Roma in Europe
This study into the Recent Migration of Roma in Europe by Claude Cahn and Professor Elspeth Guild aims to shed light on the causes of Roma migration and the applicable human rights standards, and to clarify the situation of Roma migrants in host States, in particular their access to key services such as education, employment, health and housing.
Originally published on 8 April 2009 and funded by the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities and the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, this study was reissued to mark International Roma Day and to keep Roma issues on the agenda in Europe.
