OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities to answer questions from the public
THE HAGUE, 5 March 2008 - The OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Knut Vollebaek, launched today a new website feature, "Ask the High Commissioner," aimed at explaining the work of the office, which identifies and seeks early resolution of ethnic tensions that might endanger peace.
Ambassador Vollebaek said: "Through my contacts with ethnic communities, media and NGOs I have come to realize that the general public across the OSCE takes great interest in national minority issues. This new feature will reach out to the people and help them understand better the work of my office."
Visitors to the OSCE website can submit their questions to the High Commissioner, who will respond by email. Selected questions and answers will also be displayed on the "Ask the High Commissioner" webpage: Ask a question
Please note that this feature is no longer in operation.
