Summary: Seminar on Roma in the OSCE Area presents the proceedings of a seminar organized in Bratislava on 14-15 June 2000 as a follow-up to the Report on the Situation of Roma and Sinti in the OSCE Area. This publication includes opening remarks by Max Van der Stoel, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, and Pál Csáky, Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for Human Rights, Minorities and Regional Development. It also includes addresses from Diane Orentlicher, Professor of Law, Washington College of Law, American University, and Nicolae Gheorghe, Adviser on Roma and Sinti Issues, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
