Human rights
The Office provides training for government human rights focal points, judges and teachers on international human rights laws and standards.
The Programme Office also organizes dialogue platforms, discussions and training events for government and civil society to raise awareness and support advancement of the priorities, objectives and tasks of the National Human Rights Protection Strategy and their implementation, with particular focus on freedom from torture and ill-treatment, right to equality and the prohibition of discrimination; rights of persons with disability; and right to adequate housing.Programme Office supports pro bono legal assistance to protect housing rights and cooperates with the Civil Society Coalition against Torture and Impunity in the documentation of cases of torture and provision of legal support for victims.
