Promoting tolerance, non-discrimination key topics of discussion by OSCE Chair-in-Office’s Special Envoy, Personal Representatives
The OSCE Chair-in-Office’s Special Envoy Viacheslav Yatsiuk met with the OSCE Chairperson’s Personal Representatives on tolerance and non-discrimination Senator Adil Akhmetov, Rabbi Andrew Baker and Ambassador Tetiana Izhevska, in Vienna on 21 February 2013.
During the meeting working plans of the Personal Representatives for 2013, in particular, their visits to the OSCE participating States, were discussed.
“Your activities are of particular importance for combating intolerance and discrimination and promoting freedom of religion or belief throughout the OSCE region,” said the Special Envoy on behalf of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara.
Yatsiuk reiterated the Ukrainian Chairmanship’s strong determination to facilitate the eradication of all forms of intolerance and discrimination in the OSCE region.
“The Chair-in-Office will support the initiatives of his Personal Representatives, aimed at strengthening the implementation of the OSCE commitments in this area,” he stressed.
