OSCE Chairman-in-Office welcomes outcome of Rambouillet Negotiations

RAMBOUILLET, 23 February 1999 - The Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, Norwegian Foreign Minister Knut Vollebaek, welcomes the outcome of the Rambouillet negotiations. A political framework is now in place. The Chairman-in-Office looks forward to a speedy conclusion and signature of the Agreement.
The OSCE stands ready to play a key role in its implementation. In this regard the Chairman-in-Office underlines the importance of the full co-operation of the parties in creating a climate conducive to a successful implementation effort. The security of the KVM is an essential prerequisite for this.
