OSCE Chairperson condemns terrorist attack in Volgograd
KYIV, 29 December 2013 – OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara today condemned a terrorist attack at the railway station in the city of Volgograd in the Russian Federation that left some 15 dead and many more wounded.
“I strongly condemn this brutal act of terror that resulted in the death and injuries of many innocent people,” Kozhara said. “I convey my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.”
“The international community should stand united in fighting terrorism. Such heinous acts of terror have no excuse, and must have no place in the civilized world,” said the OSCE Chair calling upon the OSCE participating States to strengthen practical tools to counter terrorism.
