OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Kurz and Secretary General Greminger Concerned about Latest Developments in Spain
VIENNA, 2 October 2017 - The Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz, and OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger today expressed concern about recent developments in Spain.
“Experience shows that such issues can only be satisfactorily resolved in a democratic political context based on the rule of law and OSCE principles and commitments,” said Kurz. “I have full confidence in the democratic and legal institutions in Spain and in their capacity to engage in a constructive political dialogue aiming at a sustainable solution,” concluded Kurz.
„In the spirit of the OSCE culture of dialogue, tensions are best resolved through constructive engagement and in full respect of the rule of law,” said Greminger.
