Ambassador Gary D. Robbins meets President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik
SARAJEVO, 27 April 2011 – The Head of OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Gary D. Robbins, met today with President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik in Banja Luka, where they discussed pressing issues and overall co-operation.
Ambassador Robbins stressed the OSCE’s commitment to strengthening the security and stability of the country through the completion of peace-building within the Dayton framework.
Robbins and Dodik also discussed the recent Republika Srpska National Assembly decision on a referendum. "Both the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH have proved to be essential in protecting the interests of all BiH citizens,” stated Robbins. “With regard to the proposed referendum, one must think about the progress of this country. Any distraction or setback to the country's efforts to join the EU can potentially damage the prospects of all the citizens of BiH in ensuring a better and more prosperous life," concluded Robbins.
