Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina briefs German Parliamentary delegation

SARAJEVO, 23 May 2001 (OSCE) - A high-ranking German Parliamentary delegation, currently on a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, was briefed yesterday by the OSCE Mission in Sarajevo on the functioning of the country's joint institution and participation of women in politics.
Ambassador Dieter Woltmann, Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, received the members of the delegation, which included the Deputy Speaker of the German Parliament (Bundestag), Petra Blaess, and member of the Liberal Party and former Minister of Justice, Dr. Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger.
"The delegation had the opportunity to find out more about the work of the OSCE Mission in the field. Specific items of interest for the Delegation were the issues of the practical functioning of joint institutions at state level, participation of women in politics and on return issues", said Mr. Woltmann. "The OSCE Mission was pleased with the opportunity to present its numerous activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the guests from Germany."
