Three councilors removed from office in Bosnia and Herzegovina
SARAJEVO 16 February 2001
SARAJEVO, 16 February 2001 - At its 291st meeting on February 9, 2001, the Provisional Election Commission (PEC) removed the mandates of the following councilors for violations of Article 7.16 of the PEC Rules and Regulations governing the April 2000 municipal elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina:
1. Mr. Zijo Ramic (SDP), councilor in the municipal council (Opcinsko vijece) of Konjic
2. Mr. Sacir Dzihanic (Savez za CD BiH), councilor in the municipal assembly (Skupstina opstine) of Rudo
3. Mr. Milorad Pavlovic (SDS), councilor in the municipal assembly of Modrica
Their councilors' mandates have been removed because of their failure to vacate the property they illegally occupied within the deadline stipulated in an administrative decision. The mandates will be allocated to the next candidates on their parties' lists for these respective municipalities.
