OSCE releases new preliminary partial results of Bosnia and Herzegovina elections
SARAJEVO 14 November 2000
SARAJEVO, 14 November 2000 - The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina today is releasing further preliminary, partial general election results for the following races: Parliamentary Assembly of BiH; Federation House of Representatives; National Assembly of the Republika Srpska; President and Vice President of Republika Srpska; the municipal elections in Srebrenica and the ten Federation cantons.
The results are preliminary and include unaudited Municipal Election Commission (MEC) results and more Counting Center results. It is essential to note that the figures issued today maybe skewed because of a high representation of out-of-country votes (OCV) since the sorting. Also, because several MECs' reports are still being processed, certain municipalities are not yet included in the final tallies.
The results released today include results from more then 124 of 146 municipal election commissions, 50 from the Republika Srpska and 74 from the Federation.
These results will be available on the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina website at www.oscebih.org. Only the results for those parties with the highest number of votes are listed, as well as the total number of votes counted so far for that particular race and the percentages of the total votes those parties have so far. (The numbers will not add up since parties with smaller numbers of votes are not listed.)
The full preliminary results for each race will be available on the available only after the Provisional Election Commission has certified them.
