Out-of-Country Voters may vote in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 11 November
SARAJEVO, 10 November 2000 - Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina residing abroad and who are registered with the OSCE-Out of Country Voting (OCV) Branch to vote in person will be able to cast their ballots on Election Day in the municipality in which they are registered to vote.
Those citizens residing abroad who registered with OSCE-OCV Branch to vote by-mail, and who will be present in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Election Day, will be allowed to vote in person by a "tendered ballot" in polling stations designed for those purposes, as long as they have not already cast a vote by mail. These people, like all voters casting ballots in these elections, will need to produce an identification card or other valid document with a photograph in order to prove their eligibility to vote.
These voters should ask the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) on where to go to cast a tendered ballot. To facilitate the process at the polling station, voters should bring their voter registration receipt previously issued by the OSCE-OCV.
After voting, the voters' personal data will be noted on the envelope where the tendered ballots are to be placed. The voters' personal data will be checked against the final voter register. If the voter is found on the final voter register and that person has not voted already by-mail, his or her ballots will be counted in the Counting Center.
