OSCE Head of Mission and Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina discuss regional co-operation
SARAJEVO, 5 September 2014 – The Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Jonathan Moore, today met Foreign Minister of BiH Zlatko Lagumdžija, to discuss the role of the OSCE in the country and the Mission’s future work in key areas.
“Our common efforts are essential in assisting Bosnia and Herzegovina implement its OSCE commitments. I look forward to continuing our support to the country by helping strengthen its institutions, respect for the rule of law, and protection of the human rights of all citizens,” said Moore.
Commenting on the recent signing of a declaration on the issue of conflict-related missing persons by regional heads of State, Moore praised the commitment to addressing the issue of missing persons. “The Declaration is an important step in fostering regional co-operation between governments and reconciliation among people.”
Moore and Lagumdžija also talked about the upcoming OSCE Mediterranean Conference that Bosnia and Herzegovina will host in October in Neum.
