The OSCE Action against Terrorism Unit (ATU) is hosting an Expert workshop on public-private partnerships: engaging with the media in countering terrorism in Vienna on 19-20 October 2009.
The two-day event, which is taking place in the Neuer Saal at the Hofburg, is partially funded by the Moscow City Government, Russian Federation.
This OSCE-wide expert workshop will focus on co-operating with the media in countering terrorism, and is aimed at exchanging information, lessons learned and good practices. Participants will seek to identify ways in which the OSCE, with a multidimensional approach, can enhance the impact of existing efforts while respecting OSCE commitments, especially in the areas of freedom of expression and information as well as freedom of the media.
