OSCE Centre supports dialogue on Kazakhstan’s political party system
A roundtable meeting on political party development in Kazakhstan was organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana on 6 December 2012 jointly with the Public Foundation for Parliamentary Development in Kazakhstan.
More than 40 representatives of political parties, think tanks and government institutions discussed a range of issues related to Kazakhstan’s party system, including its organizational, financial and public outreach aspects. The participants also discussed what needs to be done to develop truly effective inter- and intra-party dialogue and to foster constructive communication.
The meeting concludes an OSCE Centre project on enhancing Kazakhstan’s political party system. It also included a study tour to Poland for political party representatives in September and two seminars in November.
