The OSCE report ‘Handling of Terrorism Cases by the Kosovo Criminal Justice System’ covers the period 2018 to 2020 and examines data gathered by the OSCE trial monitoring team in more than 50 cases categorized as terrorism related. The report also includes a comprehensive overview of the legal framework for terrorism cases and assesses the extent to which Kosovo law and policy is in line with international standards. The report aims to support legal practitioners to maintain the highest standards of professionalism in this challenging area of law and policy.

This Guide has been developed within the framework of the project implemented by the OSCE Mission to Moldova "Strengthening policies, measures and access to damage recovery to support victims and prevent exploitation on both banks of the Dniester River". The basic objective of the Guide is to raise awareness among the judiciary on the application of the restorative justice model and to contribute to the implementation of the provisions of the normative framework in accordance with the Law No. 137/2016 on the rehabilitation of victims of crime, in order to protect and ensure respect for their rights and legitimate interests. The guide is a materialized continuation of the seminars for prosecutors and judges in the field, organized by the National Institute of Justice in partnership with the OSCE Mission to Moldova. This Guide is intended to be used as a specialized training support for the National Institute of Justice's audience, as well as in the process of continuous professional training of judges, prosecutors and lawyers in the segment of victims' rights protection and restorative justice. The Guide is available in Russian and Romanian.

This policy brief is based on policy-focused research and interviews concerning the links between violent misogyny and violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism (VERLT). The research was commissioned by the OSCE Office of the Secretary General Gender Issues Programme together with the OSCE Transnational Threats Department’s Action against Terrorism Unit as part of the WIN for Women and Men – Strengthening Comprehensive Security through Innovating and Networking for Gender Equality project. This publication seeks to provide guidance to military commanders and policymakers within ministries of defence and general staff of the armed forces on a trauma-informed and human rights-compliant response to sexual assault. It intends to unpack some of the prevailing myths surrounding sexual assault within the military and how these hinder effective reporting and, thus, the ability of military systems to address sexual violence. This guide also highlights key considerations necessary for establishing trauma-informed policy and response within the military.
