OSCE Mission to Skopje announces winners of Essay Competition “Role of the OSCE in today’s world”

The OSCE Mission to Skopje announced on 12 June 2015 the winners of the Essay Competition on the “Role of the OSCE in today’s world”.
The nine-member OSCE Committee selected the best three essays through a blind review process. The Mission received twenty two essays from students enrolled in Universities within the country.
The three winners, Hristijan Petrusev, Flamur Beqiri, and Nino Domazetovic, will travel to Vienna and visit the OSCE Headquarters in September 2015.
“We are very happy to see such a strong response from the youth in the country to the essay competition. The quality of submissions was very high and included a number of thought-provoking essays. These have allowed us to understand better how the OSCE is perceived by young people, which in turn, allows us to improve our own work and the quality of our interaction with youth,” said Chairperson of the Committee, Seamus Taggart, Political Adviser at the OSCE Mission to Skopje.
The Essay Competition was organized as part of the Mission’s activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act.
