OSCE Mission in Kosovo to continue work for benefit of all communities, says OSCE Secretary General
VIENNA, 26 July 2010 - The OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut emphasized today that the OSCE Mission in Kosovo would continue its work for all communities according to its mandate, following the opinion recently issued by the International Court of Justice.
"OSCE takes note of the Advisory Opinion issued by the International Court of Justice. I want to emphasize that the OSCE Mission in Kosovo will continue its work as mandated in a status-neutral manner," he said.
"The OSCE Mission remains committed to the development of a democratic multi-ethnic society, and it will continue to monitor and promote the rights of all communities living in Kosovo, and to support and strengthen the democratic institutions that it has helped create."
